Dysrhythmia "Test of Submission" LPs in stock

After a mountain of inefficiency, communication black outs and a rejected test pressing, Dysrhythmia's latest LP is in stock and now shipping. You can order directly from the Nerve Altar store here: http://nervealtar.storenvy.com/products/682153-dysrhythmia-test-of-submission-lp

Dysrhythmia "Test of Submission"

From Profound Lore:
Entitled “Test Of Submission”, this is the sixth full-length album in DYSRHYTHMIA’s repertoire and the band’s most-intense and accomplished album to date. Already going on a decade-plus career, DYSRYHTMIA were one of the first prominent bands to bring awareness to the instrumental progressive metal movement in America, in an age where there were not even a handful of bands attempting to do what DYSRHYTHMIA were doing in music; setting new standards and helping to create a new movement within extreme metal all on their own. The band would gain even more prominence as part of the Relapse Records roster where not only members from DYSRYHTMIA (them of course being guitarist Kevin Hufnagel, bassist Colin Marston, and drummer Jeff Eber) would also be defined by their musical and playing fortitude, but said members would continue to make a name for themselves even further within such bands as Gorguts, Krallice, Vaura, Byla, and …Behold The Acrtopus.
Nonetheless, such accomplished musicians have once again come together to make a new album at a time where there seems to be a overbearing glut of bands attempting to prove their worth in some rat-race to see which band can outdo themselves in technical prowess or whatever. DYSRHYTHMIA’s “Test Of Submission” will singlehandedly prove this trio’s superiority. With ease.

The band has copies of the LP with them on their current US tour. This band really must be seen live, no joke.

A State of Perpetual Malaise and Procrastination

Apologies for the prolonged absence, but there are actually multiple projects currently in the works. Ashamedly, our facebook page gets updated much more frequently, just due to ease of use. Feel free to "like" that page to keep up with this bullshit. Or don't.

The production stage for the vinyl for Dysrhythmia's "Test of Submission" is in it's final stages. A couple rounds of test presses and communication black outs notwithstanding, we should see these slabs materialize as early as the second week of October. The CD has been out for a few weeks and the feedback has been outstanding for the album as well as their packed out record release show in Brooklyn last weekend.

Stream the record in full here: http://soundcloud.com/brooklynvegan/sets/dysrhythmia-test-of-submission

The band is gearing up for a full US tour at the end of the month, culminating with some shows on the East Coast with the almighty Loincloth. Check below for tour dates.

Dysrhythmia @ Saint Vitus, Brooklyn NY

The next Nerve Altar release is already in production and on it's way. A split EP with Buffalo's Water Torture and thedowngoing from Australia. Noise infested bass violence collides with screeching grind assaults from down under in short incendiary bursts. Both bands have released excellent records recently, all available for free download via the usual sources as well as the bands themselves. This vinyl release will commemorate the US tour these two are about to embark on in the beginning of November, only to be joined on the road by the always stellar Cloud Rat. Test presses have been approved and packaging is almost completed, so things are on track for the bands to have these with them by the Brooklyn date of the tour.

Sneak peek at the Water Torture/thedowngoing EP artwork

That should wrap up 2012 for Nerve Altar. The only other possible project on the horizon would be a vanity piece, a vinyl version of Defeatist's first full length 'Sixth Extinction' which only saw a CD release. A very short run, only to satiate the completist and truly shitheaded.

Modern Vision of the Erect Nightmare

Honored to announce that Gas Chamber "Modern Vision of the Erect Nightmare" EP is now available to buy or stream on Nerve Altar.

Gas Chamber emerges from the murky depths of the rusted end times to unleash "The Modern Vision of the Erect Nightmare". Pushing the boundaries of their dark vision even further by integrating their experimental side more directly into their compositions, this 13 minute piece wraps itself around both sides of a 7" EP with a vicious grip. A multi faceted wretch that heaves itself through ashen swamps and apocalyptic sinkholes of dark powerviolence and twisted grim noise. Soundscapes of mechanical clicks and groans give way to bass driven crusty anthems only to retreat back into caves of filth and the tortured agonizing screams of the truly damned. These are the cursed days. For fanatics only.

New Store, Old Records

Started a new store for Nerve Altar as the last one was becoming limiting. Please check it out here:http://nervealtar.storenvy.com/

Also found some lost copies of the Defeatist "In Praise of False Hope" EPs in a box. Previously released by Chainsaw Safety, the covers were originally hand screened but the screens were destroyed long ago. These copies have slightly altered artwork with laser printed covers. Note that all of these tracks also appear on the "Sharp Blade Sinks Deep Into Dull Minds" comp CD on Willowtip.

These are also available in the NA store. Thanks.

Dephosphorus Axiom LPs in stock

Copies of the Dephosphorus "Axiom" Gatefold LP are now in the distro. Killer record! Higher price due to import costs. Check out the record here:http://dephosphorus.bandcamp.com/album/axiom

From 7Degrees: "The debut of Greece's Dephosphorus combines astral blasts, stellar grooves and spaced out soundscapes into a very own and unique experience of extreme music. The artwork crafted by Viral Graphics masterly underlines the band's cosmic concept."

Limited quantity in stock.

Gas Chamber delivered the art and audio masters for the "Modern Vision of the Erect Nightmare" EP. Should go out to press next week. Trying to get this released for their tour preceding their appearance at Chaos In Tejas.

General Numbness

Apologies for the lack of updates but the abundance google accounts and general tunnel vision dominate and confuse my state of being at all times.

Defeatist "Tyranny Of Decay" LPs have been out for a while now with orders shipping promptly. The last Defeatist show was in Brooklyn on December 17 2011. You can see pics along with snappy anonymous comments here:

Gross, right?

Sayyadina review in Decibel this month. Will post a pic this week. Still not sure what it will take to get a review for the D.E.R. record.

D.E.R. has a bunch of shit going on, new recordings, etc. Really the best grind band that no one has heard. Check them out here:

Next up will be a project with the mighty Gas Chamber. More info soon.

Defeatist CDs are super cheap right now at the Nerve Altar store.
