In anticipation of their upcoming full length which has been stalled by the current quarantine situation, I'm very proud to announce the first ever vinyl press of Cognizant's 2016 self titled album. Releases June 5, bandcamp's next waived fee day.

Chepang's new LP 'Chatta' is unleashed today! Exclusive vinyl color LP/DL available on the NA bandcamp or e-store.

Utterly unbound and obliterating all boundaries, the collective takes cues from their recent sonic experiments collaborating with extreme artists from across the globe (Sao Paulo’s Test, Japan’s Retortion Terror, et al), culminating in their most realized sound to date.

Trademark hyper-ballistic dual battery blasting fuels frantic angular riffing at extreme velocities and fuses feverish frequencies in a swirling chaotic amalgam of free improvisation and cacophonous tribal noise. Guests appearances from Takafumi Matsubara, Colin Marston and the ‘Himalayan Halen’ delivers trademark virtuosic string shredding but the sonic shock of improvised saxophone and free noise acoustic soundscapes shatters barriers, taking the sound to new unexpected heights.

And that’s just Side 1. The B Side introduces a variety of eclectic artists from the far reaches of the extreme underground (Deaf Kids, Test & more) to dissect, mangle and remix select tracks from the studio session, engendering a relentless headfuck in a gnarled web of gabber, electro, and dub hybrids. Produced by Colin Marston (Dysrhythmia, Gorguts, Encenathrakh, Arctopus).

Preorders are live for the sophomore Chepang full length, Chatta, with the official release date of May22. Resent "Crosshairs" DL/LP Available Now!

RESENT formed in 2017, in Victoria BC, with intentions of playing ugly and disdain drenched sludge; the six tracks that make up their debut LP prove that they more than achieved this. The band draws heavily on the classic '90s sludge sound made 'famous' by Grief, Noothgrush, Corrupted, et al, but somehow manages to drag it further down into the putrid filth from which it was spawned, with the entire record reaching the despairing lows of the nastiest, bleakest moments of Meth Drinker.
